Staying confident when faced with odds is one of the biggest challenges entrepreneurs battles with. Defying social and cultural expectations, I have built 2 online start-ups. Also, with my experience under my belt, I have learned that preparing ahead of battle is the only way to achieve victory. Opportunities will not come staring at you in the face, you have to be ready for it.

Here are tips by for budding entrepreneurs before they start their online business:

Business plan

 Be realistic with your plans and ideas, know your target audience and competition. Be prepared to go with other alternatives when it seems your plans are not going as expected.

Check for people’s opinion and reaction:

 Your customers’ opinions and feedback are one of the most essential components to effectively maximize the growth and sustainability if your business.


 If your projected expenses are significantly higher than your projected income, you have a budget deficit. This means that you have to source for money or cut down your costs. It is essential to come up with a detailed estimate for your business.  Hope for the best and plan for the worst.

Don’t be a spendthrift

You must create a budget. Spendthrifts typically have no plans regarding spending money. The growth of your business is the most important thing to you.

Strategically choose your inner circle

As an entrepreneur, you are used to doing things your way, you have people turning to you with questions as time goes on. But who do you reach out to when you are seeking answers? That’s where wisely choosing an inner circle fits in—their higher level of influence, support, and insight fuel your business growth. Surround yourself with trusted advisors as they help you gather information about an important decision, how to deal with stressful situations, and strategy for your growth plan.
